Pay per Click-to-Call
Pay per Click - A Review
"Pay per Click"
(PPC) advertising is a business model offered by several search
engine companies. The name describes it perfectly. If you participate
in a PPC campaign, your sponsored ads will be shown prominently
on search results pages that relate to what you are promoting.
Google Adwords is the classic example of the
PPC model. Search Google for almost anything (say, Hawaii Vacations),
and you'll see a series of small ads in the right hand column and
probably some at the top of the listings page. Advertisers do NOT
pay to have their ads shown here. They only pay when you click on
the ad and go to their Website. Advertisers select search keywords
they wish to be shown under and litterally bid for top positioning.
Pay per Click-to-Call
"Pay per Click-to-Call"
(PPCTC) is the natural extension of the concept in the age of the
smart phone. Those who search Google with their smart phones may
have some PPCTC ads displayed to them. And yes, if they click such
an ad, they are connected directly to the advertiser's pre-programmed
phone number, and the advertiser's account is charged for the click,
just as with normal PPC.
This is not for everyone, but I mention it here,
as it is aimed directly at mobile marketing. I am testing it right
now along side normal PPC and I will update this page with more
information as I gain more experience with it.
If your are selling a product or service where
mobile usage may be ideally suited, PPCTC could start your phone
ringing literally within hours of launching a PPCTC campaign.
